Blanket Donation Drive

At Koeppel Auto our clients and our surrounding community are considered a part of the family.  When we learned of Subaru’s “Subaru Loves to Help” initiative and its donation drive to distribute 50,000 blankets to Homeless Shelters across the country, we rose to the occasion.  With November being “National Homeless Youth Awareness Month” and many of our own local community members struggling with housing stability and homelessness, this was a cause near and dear to our hearts. As the nights get colder and the weather gets a touch more frightful, it’s important to care for our communities and ensure their safety and comfort.  We believe that everyone deserves safe, warm, comfortable housing.

With the struggles of the 2020 Pandemic still ongoing, many Americans are forced to choose between vital items such as food, rent, or medical care.  The statistics are staggering, with 43.1 million Americans living below the poverty line, 42 million suffering from hunger, and upwards of 549,000 Americans experiencing homelessness.  On a global scale, there are 795 million people without enough to eat, and over 65 million refugees experiencing homelessness.  With your help, we can do our part to improve access to safe housing and food.

Here at Koeppel Kares, we encourage our friends and family to do their part in supporting the community, and giving a helping hand to those around us who need it the most.  Consider paying forward the kindness you have experienced this year, and help support local Housing Initiatives and Homeless Shelters. Donate directly to homeless families in need, or start up a shelter support drive in your own backyard!

Some organizations are only accepting monetary contributions, and some have specific needs like Clothes, Food, Blankets, or other household items.
